  EFCC intercepts woman with 18 voters cards in Kaduna, another in Kano, FCT Operatives of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC, in the early hours of today , February 25, 2023 intercepted a woman with 18 voters cards in sting operation at Badarwa area of Kaduna, Kaduna state.

  Voters not allowed to enter and vote at a polling unit in Iba Estate,  Lagos, unless they declare for APC.

INEC officials tell voters they forget the presidential ballot papers. This is happening at the Rumuonhwa polling unit in Rivers state.

The National Environmental Standard and Regulation Enforcement Agency (NESREA) has attributed human activities such as deforestation, bush burning, and an increase in greenhouse gases as major causes of climate change. The Enugu State Coordinator of the agency, Mr. Pele Egbegari, stated this in Enugu earlier in the week. Egbegari said that the issue of climate change had really affected the peace of the country. He said the issue of climate change had caused migration with people moving from their country, state or region of origin to distant places in search of greener pasture. “When the plants are deforested, there will be no longer sinking for carbon dioxide. A federal high court in Lagos has declared void powers of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to impose fines on motorists for traffic offences. John Tsoho, a judge, held that the commission could not turn itself into a court of law by punishing those who commit traffic offences. Tope Alabi, a lawyer, had approached the court to declare that only a court of competent jurisdiction could pronounce a person guilty under section 10 (4) and 28 (2) of the FRSC Act 2007. Other defendant in the suit was the attorney-general of the federation. The judge also awarded N1million damages in favour of the plaintiff because officials of the FRSC had confiscated his vehicle and driver’s licence. Rihanna  has released  a collaboration with Paul McCartney and Kanye West, with the singer delivering an acoustic ballad and giving fans her first new material since single Jump almost exactly a year ago. Iran has ordered the closure of a daily newspaper which published a front-page story with a picture of George Clooney wearing a badge in support of Charlie Hebdo. The Mardom e-Emruz, or Today’s People, ran the picture of the actor at the Golden Globes with the headline “I’m Charlie too”. Mohammad Ghoochani, chief editor of the paper, told the Tasnim news agency that his paper had been forced to close. While the newspaper did not express support for Charlie Hebdo or the star’s sentiments, judges branded the headline “obscene”. Iran’s government condemned the attack on the Charlie Hebdo’s offices and also the magazine itself, saying that publishing caricatures of Muhammed was “provocative” and an insult to Islam.
