ThMetro  have a tried and tested plan for getting as many hits of possible out of Gareth Bale and Manchester United. That plan is to read  Fichajes , a Spanish transfer rumour website, ignore anything it says which doesn't fit with the programme... and then make a juicy story which has as little grounding in reality as possible. They've done exactly that twice since Friday.  On Tuesday morning The Metro published an article claiming  'Real Madrid happy to sell Gareth Bale to Manchester United in £90m transfer deal'  and went on to say  'Manchester United have moved a step closer to signing Gareth Bale in January after Real Madrid reportedly put the player up for sale. The main sticking point to any deal has been whether Madrid would want to sell the Welshman, but reports in Spain say they are now happy to do business.' Michel Platini does not believe that either  Cristiano Ronaldo  or Lionel Messi deserves to win this year's Ballon d'Or, with the Uefa president arguing that the award should go to one of  Germany 's World Cup winners. Ronaldo is the favourite to land the prestigious prize given his record-breaking goalscoring exploits during Real Madrid's Champions League success last season, while Messi is also considered a major contender after inspiring Argentina to the final of Brazil 2014. The judge rejected a prosecution recommendation to drop the charges on the grounds the player's father was responsible for his finances. Messi and his father Jorge are accused of defrauding the authorities of more than 4m euros (£3.1m; $5m). The pair, who deny wrongdoing, have five days to appeal against the ruling. It is alleged that they withheld the money between 2007 and 2009. The income related to Messi's image rights, including contracts with Banco Sabadell, Danone, Adidas, Pepsi-Cola, Proctor and Gamble, and the Kuwait Food Company. The footballer and his father are suspected of avoiding paying Spanish tax by using companies in Belize and Uruguay to sell the rights to use Messi's image.  The judge ruled: "In this type of crime, it is not necessary for someone to have complete knowledge of all the accounting and business operations nor the exact quantity, rather it is sufficient to be aware of the designs to commit fraud and consent to them." The fear of Ebola is the beginning of Wisdom. To avoid catching Ebola during a concert in Congo, R&B star Akon performed in  a giant plastic bubble. The ‘Locked Up’ singer climbed inside the airtight blow-up during a performance in Goma, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, on Sunday and rolled over the crowd, pushed along by the outstretched hands of 60,000 screaming concert-goers. The concert was an effort to bring peace to the city of Goma, which many refer to as the most dangerous city in the world. The performance was a part of a greater effort to support the United Nations’ International Day of Peace.

It can be exhausting nursing a child through a nasty bout with the flu, so imagine how 22-year-old Fatu Kekula felt nursing her entire family through Ebola. Her father, Her mother, Her sister, Her cousin. Fatu took care of them all, single-handedly feeding them, cleaning them and giving them medications. And she did so with remarkable success. Three out of her four patients survived.
