SHOCKER: Facebook 'Cannibal': Shocking pictures of satanist 'who killed and ate woman' brandishing weapons
Devil worshipper allegedly killed
a woman, chopped her up and ate her in a gruesome ritualistic murder.
Gregory Hale, 37, had only just met
Lisa Hyder, 36, when he attacked her before beheading her and putting her hands
and feet in a bucket, officers said.
When the ex-slaughterhouse worker
was arrested they said he admitted killing her and eating part
of her body.
Suspected cannibal Hale’s Facebook
page is littered with images and descriptions of blood, gore and killing.
He posted a series of pictures of
himself holding long-bladed knives and other weapons on the site, in some of
them wearing masks.
He wrote: “I hug the people I hate
so I know how big to dig the hole in my back yard.”
Two months ago he talked about
eating a vegetarian, writing: “would tha vegetarian taste like that fake soy
meat like they got in sum fast food places???”
The American also said he wished he
could have met serial killer and rapist Richard Ramirez, known as the Night
Stalker, who died in a California prison last June.
Several posts and pictures are about
the metal band Slayer.
Hale, of Coffee County in Tennessee,
met Lisa last Friday and officers believe he killed
her at his home later that day.
He was arrested on Sunday after he
asked a friend to help dispose of the body.
His former slaughterhouse colleagues
described him as “bizarre” and said he took animals’ eyeballs, blood and bones
home.
A friend said he was a
self-proclaimed satanist who was fired after his boss found him carrying out a
ritual with animal parts.
His victim, mother-of-six Lisa, had
recently been diagnosed with ovarian cancer while battling longstanding alcohol
addiction.
Her family tonight said they would
push for the death penalty if Hale was convicted of her murder.
Her father Billy Poore said:
"My daughter was mangled, butchered and chopped up like a liver. There's
nothing left."
Her estranged husband, from whom she
separated last year, said he spent the weekend trying to reach his ex-wife so
their children, the youngest of them just a year old, could have their daily
chat with her.
Charlie Hyder said: "I still
blame myself because I didn't go get her, but I was down in Huntsville
unloading my truck, and I wished I could have been there a little bit faster.
"Usually I rescue her every
time something goes wrong."
Hale is being held in jail £900,000
bond and is due to face court on June 23, charged with murder and
abuse of a corpse.
